I am so happy that I got to go away for my birthday. My favorite place in the whole world is Lake George, NY. It is a small town in the New York Adirondack mountains. I have been going there with my family since I was a baby. I went with my mom this past weekend and we just relaxed all weekend and shopped our lives away at their outlet mall! It was almost 65 degrees on that Saturday. Around this time of the year the town is pretty much empty with a few shops still open. We decided to escape our work day on Friday and go that day until late Sunday. I got to go downtown to see the town and the docks near the water.

My dream someday is to buy land near the mountains and build a house and retire here. My family used to stay outside of Lake George, near Bolton Landing, NY. It is still on the lake which is our favorite part during the summer. The scenic route going to Bolton Landing is my favorite part because you can see the large mountains next to the lake. The lake was still frozen but I think half frozen. There is not many places open during the winter time as for food. But there is the Lake George Coffee company inside one of the hotels that sells coffee. There are things to do you just have to make your own fun during the winter around here. This past weekend was also the opening of Martha’s Ice Cream which is in Queensbury down the road from the lake. They just opened for the season.
